'Cherry Brandy' is possibly the most strikingly coloured Black-Eyed Susan. The foliage, stems, and overall care are virtually identical to that of other Rudbeckia. The flowers, though, boast a bright red hue with a very deep red inner ring. The centre is chocolate brown.
These plants are biennial, meaning they only live two years. Fortunately they self-seed readily, so you don't have to worry about replacing plants every two years.
Black-eyed Susan do best in very sunny conditions, but will tolerate some shade. The flowers are a favourite among pollinators.
Rudbeckia hirta 'Cherry Brandy' reaches a height of about 24", and a spread of about 12" per plant.
